What should an accountant resume include?
Accountant resumes in India are checked for the books you actually keep: payables, receivables, bank reconciliation, GST returns, TDS, payroll and month-end closing, plus software such as Tally Prime, Zoho Books or SAP. Name the business size, the entries or vendors you handle and which statutory filings you own, so an owner or finance manager can trust your ledgers.
Skills recruiters look for:
- Bookkeeping and journal entries
- GST returns and reconciliation
- TDS computation and returns
- Bank reconciliation
- Accounts payable and receivable
From our sample resumes:
- Payal’s voucher count and client count show volume, and the GSTR-2B matching line proves she understands credits, not just data entry in Tally.
- Ramesh states his closing timeline and vendor numbers, two concrete markers a finance manager uses to judge an accountant’s grip on the books.
