Why choose a black and white resume?
Black and white templates rely on type, weight and spacing instead of colour. They print perfectly on any office printer, photocopy cleanly for interview panels and look right in conservative fields such as law, banking, government, academia and engineering. With no colour to lean on, they use bold or small-caps headings, rules and careful alignment to separate sections, which also keeps them friendly to applicant tracking systems. They are a good choice when you are not sure how a resume will be read or printed. Any other design can be made monochrome too, by setting its accent colour to black in the builder.
