Job skill tests

Fundamentals that technical and domain interview rounds check, one test per skill.

How the tests work

  1. Choose your settings. Keep the timer on to practise under pressure, shuffle the questions, or take a quick 10-question round.
  2. Answer one question at a time. Pick an option with a tap or keys 1 to 4, flag questions to come back to, and jump around with the question palette.
  3. Get your score by topic. See correct, wrong and skipped answers, the time you took, and which topics pulled your score down.
  4. Learn from every mistake. Each question has the correct answer and a worked explanation. Retake only the ones you got wrong until they stick.

Score statistics: see the median score, the middle range and the hardest topics for each test, from anonymous full attempts, on the skill test results page.

A test checks what you know; the interview also checks how you explain it. Work through the interview preparation guide and practise the interview questions for your profession as well, then rehearse out loud with the free interview practice tool.

FAQ

Questions about the skill tests

Yes. Every test is free, needs no signup and runs in your browser. Your best score is saved on your own device, so you can come back later and try to beat it. Finished attempts are also recorded anonymously, with no name, email or IP address, to build the public score statistics.

No. They are practice questions written to match the topics and difficulty of common aptitude and skill rounds. Real tests use their own questions, but if you can solve these quickly and explain why each answer is right, you will be ready for the same type of question.

Take the test once with the timer on to see where you stand. Read the explanation for every question you got wrong, practise those topics, then retake only the wrong ones. Take a full attempt again a day or two later and compare your score.
