About the Pigment design
Pigment is an easel-and-palette page for fine arts teachers. A dark canvas-black hero holds painted brush strokes and a palette whose wells fill with vermilion, ultramarine, ochre, viridian and rose; the rest of the page is gallery-white with the same colours as accents. Fraunces gives headings a painterly serif, Outfit keeps text clean, and Space Mono labels the details. The wording is about seeing: “Everyone can draw. I just get out of the way.”, a studio method, a teaching timeline, hung and awarded honours, studio notes and a hiring brief.
Design highlights
- Animated brush strokes and filling palette wells give the hero a hand-painted feel.
- Five pigment colours are reused as accents, so each section feels part of the palette.
- A studio method section explains how you teach observation before technique.
- Honours are titled “Hung and awarded” to cover exhibitions as well as prizes.
