About the Polity design
Polity is a civics teacher’s CV set out like an official record. It uses a warm cream surface with navy as the main colour and saffron, green, azure and crimson as accents; a dark navy band holds the contact section. Headings are Playfair Display, and every label, number and date uses JetBrains Mono, which gives the page a printed-register feel. The hero is a manifesto with stats, followed by an opening statement, a ballot of competencies, credentials gazetted, terms in office, honours conferred, op-eds and a motion of availability.
Design highlights
- Skills are shown as a ballot paper, each competency marked like a vote cast.
- Credentials appear as gazette entries with mono-type reference numbers and dates.
- An op-eds section gives space for articles, debates judged or model parliament notes.
- Availability is phrased as a formal motion, ending with a “summon the candidate” contact.
