About the Śloka design
Śloka is a parchment-and-saffron page for Sanskrit teachers. A dark palm-leaf brown hero shows a Devanagari verse with a scanning bar that marks its metre syllable by syllable. The body is aged parchment with saffron, maroon, indigo, gold and leaf-green accents. Tiro Devanagari Hindi sets the Sanskrit text, Fraunces the English headings, Outfit the body and Space Mono the labels. The page argues that Sanskrit is precise rather than dead, with sections for the texts you teach, your class method, sixteen years from board to śloka, honours, notes from the text and a hiring brief.
