About the Meridian (Geography) design
Meridian Geography is a moving map. A wireframe globe spins in the hero with a marker orbiting it, a compass needle settles, coordinates tick past and elevation contours ripple behind the text. The palette is deep ocean blue over atlas-cream paper, with land-orange, latitude-teal and sun-yellow accents; type is Bricolage Grotesque with Space Mono for coordinates and Archivo for paragraphs. Section names keep the cartography going: mapped and contoured syllabus, fieldwork first, camps along the route, peaks bagged, three bearings and fix my position.
Design highlights
- A spinning wireframe globe with an orbiting marker and live-looking coordinates ticker in the hero.
- Faint elevation contour lines run behind sections, drawn in SVG so they stay sharp.
- Certificates are shown as “visas for the classroom”, each one a small stamped card.
- A field-desk blog and photo gallery make room for field trips and map work.
