    Common mistakes

    • Listing every school prize and club membership while leaving the internship to one vague line, so the strongest proof of work-readiness is the hardest part to find.
    • Writing a career objective about what you want from the company instead of what role you are applying for and the two skills you bring.
    • Leaving out college projects because they were “only academic”; a project with a clear outcome is real evidence when you have no job history yet.
