A resume for Australia usually has no photo, runs to 2–3 pages and is printed on A4 paper. The 12 designs below suit teachers and open in the free builder with our sample teacher resume filled in, and the checklist further down shows what to change before you apply in Australia.
An Australian resume is usually two to three pages, longer than the one-page norm in the United States. It opens with contact details and a short career summary, lists employment in reverse-chronological order with achievements under each role, and often ends with two referees. Photos, date of birth and marital status are normally left out, and many employers expect you to state your work rights or visa status near the top.
Each design below opens in the free builder with our sample teacher resume, Suresh Yadav, PGT Physics, already filled in. The list further down takes that sample section by section and shows what to change before you send it to an employer in Australia.
Why the sample works: Suresh ties his board result improvement to a named method, weekly past papers and error analysis, instead of claiming credit for results alone.
Leave it out; most employers prefer no photo, except for acting or modelling roles. None of the designs below has a photo slot.

Career summary
“Postgraduate physics teacher with nine years teaching classes 9 to 12 in CBSE schools, including board exam preparation and practical assessment. Uses demonstrations, simulations and past-paper practice to build conceptual understanding, and runs remedial groups for students who fall behind.” An Australian career summary is three to five lines: your current or target role, years of experience, the sector you know best and one or two strengths the job ad asks for.
Key skills
Senior secondary physics, CBSE board preparation, Lab management, Practical assessment, Remedial teaching, Question paper design, Science club mentoring, Digital simulations.
Employment history
PGT Physics and Lab In-charge, CBSE senior secondary school: “Teach physics to four sections of classes 11 and 12, about one hundred and fifty students each year. Raised the class 12 physics pass percentage over three board cycles by introducing weekly past-paper practice and error analysis.” Earlier: TGT Science, Private CBSE school. Add a one-line description of the organisation if it is not widely known, then three to six bullets that pair duties with outcomes; two to three pages in total is normal.
Education and qualifications
M.Sc. Physics, State university. Give the qualification and institution, then a separate “Licences and certifications” heading for anything the role requires.
Licences and certifications
Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) qualified, Physics; CBSE capacity-building workshop on competency-based assessment.
Referees
Finish with two referees (name, job title, organisation, phone and email) or “Referees available on request”.
