Electrical engineers on LinkedIn are sourced by EPC contractors, MEP consultants, plant owners and solar developers, and each of them searches with different words. A headline that names the voltage level, the plant or building type and the design tools you use pulls in the right recruiter instead of generic electrician enquiries.
Solar EPC Engineer | PVsyst, string design, net metering | Rooftop and ground-mount plants up to 8 MW
The original says nothing a recruiter can search for. The rewrite names the site role, the exact tasks an MEP contractor checks for during screening, and the building type and city, so contractors hiring locally can find the profile.
Up to 220 characters. Lead with the words people search for.
Electrical Design Engineer | HT/LT SLDs, ETAP load flow & relay coordination | Hospital and commercial MEP projects
Maintenance Engineer – Cement & Process Plants | 6.6 kV motors, transformers, VFDs | Reliability and thermography
Solar EPC Engineer | PVsyst, string design, net metering | Rooftop and ground-mount plants up to 8 MW
BEE Certified Energy Auditor | Power-quality and energy-saving programmes for multi-site manufacturing groups
Graduate Electrical Engineer | AutoCAD Electrical, DIALux, cable sizing | Open to MEP design and site roles in Pune
Substation and Transmission Project Head | 220 kV bays, line erection, commissioning | Safety-first EPC delivery
PLC & Automation Engineer ⚡ | Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley, SCADA | Packaging and auto-component lines
Electrical Engineer – Data Centres | UPS, DG synchronisation, N+1 redundancy | Testing and commissioning lead
A few short first-person paragraphs, ending with how to reach you.
I design the power systems that keep hospitals, offices and labs running. For the last six years I have worked at an MEP consultancy, preparing single-line diagrams, sizing transformers and DG sets, and running short-circuit and relay coordination studies in ETAP. The part of the job I care about most is the handover. A drawing is only useful if the site team can build it and the inspector can approve it, so I visit sites during panel testing and fix what does not match the field. Four of my last five designs cleared the Chief Electrical Inspector on the first submission. Lately I have been reading up on harmonic studies for buildings with heavy UPS and VFD loads, which is where I want to grow next. If you are working on a hospital, lab or data-centre project and need a design engineer who also understands the site, message me here.
I am an electrical engineering graduate from Coimbatore, and my favourite place so far has been a substation control room. During a two-month internship at a 110/33 kV substation I filled breaker maintenance logs, watched relay testing and learnt why every isolation needs a permit and a second pair of eyes. My final-year project designed a solar-plus-battery backup for a rural health sub-centre, sized so the vaccine fridge and lights stay on through a full evening outage. I drew the single-line diagram in AutoCAD Electrical and did the battery sizing by hand before checking it in Excel. I am now preparing for the state wireman and supervisor exams and looking for a graduate engineer role in substation operations, industrial maintenance or MEP design anywhere in Tamil Nadu or Karnataka. Written by the DigitalCVMaker team for electrical engineers applying in India. Every example is original — none is copied from a real person’s profile — and each is built around what employers and clients in this field look for: the role, a specialism, and proof you can back up. We revise the page when that changes; the date at the top shows the last update.
These are examples to adapt, not real people. Swap in your own numbers, specialisation, city and achievements — it only works when every word is true for you.
Add it when the roles you want legally require a licensed supervisor, such as contractor firms signing installation work. For design or plant roles, keep the headline for your sector and tools, and list the licence with its state and class in the Licences section.
Not without changes. Consultancies search for ETAP, SLDs, load flow and approvals, while plant headlines lean on uptime and breakdowns. Lead with the design work you have already done, even if it was retrofits or panel modifications at the plant, and move maintenance to the About section.
Add your headline, summary and skills to a personal website with your photo, work and contact form — free to start.
