Every part of a transport operation — routing, safety, drivers, maintenance and parents — ranked by the years I've owned it.
A transport operation lives or dies at 6:45 in the morning. Everyone else sees a bus that turned up — nobody sees the breakdown that didn't happen because the pre-trip check caught it yesterday, or the route I re-planned so a six-year-old isn't the last one dropped at 5pm. My job is to be boring: predictable, on time, and paranoid about safety, so that a parent never has to think about the bus at all.
Run monthly sales and operations planning with sales, finance and production for fans, coolers and small appliances.
Negotiated annual contracts for castings and forgings, reducing landed cost on key parts. Developed two new local suppliers to cut dependence on a single source.
Built monthly forecasts for personal care products using sales history and promotion calendars. Worked with sales teams to adjust forecasts before festivals and new launches.
